Abstract

The proliferation of the emerging or re-emerging communicable diseases is one of the issues plaguing mankind The World Health Organization declared COVID-19 as a global pandemic as the coronavirus rapidly spreads across the world. More than 4 million COVID-19 cases with fatality cases had been detected with more than 200 thousand deaths reported up till 14th of May 2020. The alarming levels of spread and severity of COVID-19 can be seen as a test for healthcare and environmental health delivery.  Environmental health practitioners are one of the frontline agencies involved in managing the outbreak. EH professionals form a key component of the delivery system for public health where they are regularly providing support to prohibit significant health effects and to prepare for, react appropriately to, and bounce back from disease outbreaks and natural or anthropogenic disasters.
