Introduction
This issue of the MAEH Journal of Environmental Health presents key outcomes from the Urban Health Forum 2025 and the Podcast on Resilient Cities 2024 and original articles on Environmental Health.
Urban Health Forum 2025 was proudly hosted by Master in Environmental Health and Safety students from Centre for Environmental Health and Safety, Faculty of Health Sciences, UiTM in collaboration with Majlis Bandaraya Petaling Jaya, MAEH and International Federation of Environmental Health (IFEH). Podcast on Resilient Cities was hosted by Master in Environmental Health and Safety students from Centre for Environmental Health and Safety, Faculty of Health Sciences, UiTM in collaboration with Majlis Bandaraya Ipoh, together with three original research articles on environmental health.
The Urban Health Forum 2025 and Resilient Cities podcast convened experts and practitioners to examine how urbanisation, climate change, and infrastructure shape community well-being. Complementing this, the forum and podcast highlighted practical initiatives that build urban resilience through sustainable planning, low-carbon strategies, and active community engagement. Collectively, they underscore Malaysia’s growing leadership in integrating environmental health research, policy, and urban sustainability.
Through this publication, MAEH continues to serve as a collaborative platform for sharing knowledge, fostering innovation, and promoting healthier and more sustainable urban futures and Environmental Health practice in Malaysia.
